Can I update the software on my iPhone without having to resync my music?

My computer with all of my music has just recently crashed so i was wondering if I could update my iphone software to 2.0 on a different computer without losing all of the music already on it.

If you transfer all of your songs to the other computer then you will be able to upgrade without deleting your songs.
I’m not sure if you can upgrade without transferring your songs to a new computer since your ipod is connected to only 1 computer. When you put it on a different one you have to transfer the songs over or your ipod won’t be able to work with the new computer.
