Some games somehow stay in your mind long after you’ve played them; and it’s only natural that it must happen because there was something special about that game and that’s what sets it apart form the rest. You can find such games in the iTunes App Store and it will only take you one look at them to know that you want them on your iPhone. Here’s a look at some such games.
Spider & The Secret of Bryce Manor
In this mysterious and intriguing came, you are a spider and you come across a mansion that has been abandoned. When you explore the place you realize that something that you cannot figure out took place in this mansion and that how’s you begin your quest to link up the missing details to find out what went on in Bryce Manor. And the best thing is that the entire game can be seen through you-the spider’s perspective! And the curious arachnid that you are it should be fun!
Rising Card
Become a magician with this game and the next time you’re looking at impressing your friends with a magic trick or two, all you need is the Rising Card game on your iPhone. You begin by asking your friend to name any card in the deck and then launch the game which has a photo of a deck of cards. Ask your friend thin, to think of the card that they mentioned earlier and shake the phone. And lo! The card that they thought of actually rises from the deck of cards in the photo! It’s true and it’s amazing and what’s more is that this game has been designed by an acclaimed magician.
Mini Golf Wacky Worlds
There are plenty of golfing games available but this iPhone game is truly different because you get to practice mini golf is some really wacky and colorful worlds. How about islands in the sky, volcanoes in the sea, glaciers or even rivers of melted cheese? Sounds good to you? It is indeed a different sort of take on what you normally think could become a boring game.
Face Fighter
If you’ve wanted to take out your frustration on a friend then there’s no better way! This laugh riot of a game can be a really cool stress buster. At the launch of this game, you need to take a picture of your friend, select a body to go with it and start a fight. It feels like you’re fighting with your friend and you can break their nose, split their lip or even sock them in the eye. The visual effects for the fight are hilarious and can make anyone laugh.

Thanks to their just-announced upgrade to the iPod touch, Steve Jobs and Apple have really made their priorities clear — they’re out to get the Nintendo DS and Sony’s PSP. Sure, the iPhone and the Touch aren’t made specifically for messing around with games, but they do contain a ton of them, and Apple’s most recent television commercials reflect this fact.
We thus give you 5 great reasons Apple’s platform is going to take over the handheld gaming world.
#5: The App Store Keeps Growing Like Crazy.
Although selling your games through traditional brick-and-mortar retail stores can get you a lot of profit, doing it through the App store is easier, involves far less overhead, and means anyone can download and buy your game within seconds.
A better straight-download system has yet to be invented, and publishers know this.
#4: A New List Means the Big Games Are Seen More Often.
There were lots of earlier complaints that it was impossible to find a proper game priced around $10 or $15 in the store, because the way the lists were setup favored the cheapest over the best. No longer, as Apple has added a ‘most profitable’ section to show the best and the brightest big games.
This is good.
#3: All the Top Developers are Doing iPhone Stuff Now.
Sure, while Nintendo and Sony are obviously sticking to their own platforms, all the other big game makers (and there are many of them) are cranking out stuff for the iPhone and Touch platforms, and this is only going to increase.
As more and more people continue to buy them, developers will realize that it’s a seriously viable platform and pour more resources into it.
#2: The Control System Forces Innovation.
Although it doesn’t have a normal pad-and-button style like the other guys, the lack of those things has really forced developers to do brand new stuff. Maybe you’ve seen Flight Control around?
There is simply nothing like this on other platforms (well, Nintendo’s DS has a few similar things going), and dozens of new innovations on how to control games are coming out every day.
#1: Big Numbers Mean Big Games.
Once the iPhone platform hits a kind of ‘critical’ level (this has already happened, to an extent), there are massive games that are going to come out. Developers and publishers are realizing the potential of the device in terms of distribution, and we’re reaping the benefits.
Thanks to the steady expansion of the App store and those 2 billion downloads they just reached, the amount of games that are going to be gracing our screens is only going to get higher, and the quality stronger.

It’s one of those moments when you’re sitting around with your friends and there’s absolutely nothing to do. All you need to do then is turn to your iPhone for some inspiration and you’ll find tones! You won’t for a second regret taking a look that all the new games t hit the iTunes store because there’re lots of games here with which you can plenty of fun with our friends!
Doodle Dots
Everyone has played the classic game of dots where you have to connect dots and make more squares than your opponent. Using the same concept, here also you have to do the same thing. Play with a friend and try to fill in as many squares as possible with your chosen color. Those with the most squares filled with their color obviously win! There are 3 different board sizes and difficulty levels which makes it a fun game to play.
Fly Must Die
If whiling away your time in trivial pursuits is your mood for the day, then you’re going to like this game. Why? That is because what you need to do in this game is, kill flies with chopsticks. If you think just that much is absurd then playing is game will definitely change your mind! There are rules you know! The fly must hit the exact tip of the chopstick, and if not, it will fly away! You get different points when you kill different coloured flies!
Knock Knock Zombies
If you have brats at home who harass your life away wanting to get their hands on your iPhone, because they re fascinated by the way you keep tapping on it, then this game could either repel with or get them to love it even more. Although, the latter seems more likely! With this game, every time they tap on a crypt door, a scary zombie screams out of the door, each time a different one. It sounds scary but that isn’t the case really!
Push – Push
Though this game is a bit off limits for children, adults can have fun with it. Here, a target is presented and a skilled assassin [you] has to kill this target by throwing home appliance on the person! T’s not that simple because the targets are constantly moving and you might end up hitting a civilian instead and then the mission only gets tougher.

You’ve got to love puzzle games and if they have rich visual effects that can be experienced on the iPhone, then there’s nothing that you’ll hate. On the iTunes store you can fine over hundreds and maybe even thousands of games some to be paid for and some that come for free. You can find puzzle based games among these games itself, here’s a look at some such games.
Mouse
You’ll be reminded of the times you connected games to the TV or even of the handheld games of the eighties. The Mouse came is strategically fun, because you have to use strategy to guide the mice to their homes and out of the maze with the help of some cheese. Try it out!
The Frog Puzzle
This game may look real easy but it really isn’t. You need to get the yellow and the green frogs to the opposite side each, by jumping over one frog at a time in as few moves as possible, and remember to think laterally. Try getting your friends to break your record!
Triazzle
Triazzle is simple enough to play but requires that you use quite a bit of logic and thinking when you start it. This colorful game has triangular tiles with insects or frogs on each of them and they are arranged around a large triangle. Fit in the tiles correctly to match the pictures and you can finish a level. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle but even better!
Brain Scrambler
Here’s another mind boggling game for your iPhone where there are nine square tiles with pictures on them. These have to be arranged properly for the parts of the pictures to match on each tile. Truly a game which you will end up playing continuously until you get it right. You can choose from different images which will affect the level of difficulty.

Every single day new apps are being added to the iTunes store and each is as tempting as the next. Hundreds of these apps are also free so you can simply download them without any problems whatsoever. Even the paid apps are priced quite reasonably which accounts for the popularity of these as well. But right from the time you have downloaded something and the next time you check into iTunes, chances are that something new would have been added to it. It’s difficult to keep abreast of the latest iPhone apps that are available, particularly the ones which are the most downloaded. But here’s an attempt.
Talking Puppy
Give your family and friends a neat surprise when the cute little puppy on your iPhone screen actually starts to mimic someone from in room! This cool app turns your iPhone into a sure shot focus of all attention and even a unique center piece! While the puppy can’t talk on its own accord, it does need to be programmed to say whatever is said in front of it. And if you get bored of the little doggy, you can switch to a talking cat, snowman, monkey and camel just to name a few.
Impossible
If you get this app on your iPhone, all you have to do is launch it, nothing more, and watch the magic unfurl! At the start of this app, you will be asked to pick a card from six cards, and then, the secret magician in your iPhone will guess the right answer by simply reading your mind through the screen! Okay okay that was a joke, but that’s really how it would look for innocent onlookers of the game!
iGlowStick
This app may not be all that much, but the visual effects you get along with it are undeniably fantastic. With the iGlowStick app, you get to choose the color of the glow stick that you would like; once you’ve taken your pick, you will have to break the stick with the usual iPhone methods, which then makes the glow stick fill up with light that can be spread around the screen with a mere shake. It’s as good as a flashlight though it definitely won’t blind the people around you!
iStudiez Pro
If you’re a student then you’re well aware of how much you have to juggle between classes, school, projects and trying to have a life outside of it all too. Get yourself the iStudiez Pro app which will help you be more organized with your work. You can forget about missing classes and unfinished work, and once you start with the program, it makes sure you don’t give in to disorganization. Use different color codes for all your subjects too.

Our team is tirelessly delivering iPhone game reviews and we have one that you can’t afford to miss. If you like flight simulators, iChromo’s Aera will thrill you (in the App Store now). The game sports neat and refined graphics, smooth animation, and responsive controls that come in handy while casual flying or while you duke it out with another aircraft.
Aera contains four planes (three unlockable) with which to traverse the skies over three locations (two unlockable). You can fly your plane in any of several missions: Aerobatic/Solo, Dog Fight, Race, or Free Flight. Aerobatic/Solo tasks you to fly the plane while collecting a specified number of floating objects within a pre-determined amount of time. You’ll need to be quick and accurate as you fly through rings and avoid hovering mines as you follow the path of balls to success. Dog Fight pits you against another plane. Shoot him down before he shoots you down. To help you accomplish this, you have guns with unlimited ammunition, as well as a limited stock of rockets. A destroyed enemy will rain bonus boxes upon the land. Snag these boxes to pick up points, rockets, and the like. Race, as you might have guessed, is a timed flight mission where you’ll need to avoid the mines if you want to survive. If you prefer to just enjoy the controls or check out the scenery, you can also choose Free Flight to get your fix. You can either play in Campaign mode or Quick Play, choosing from Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels.
The 3D game graphics are very polished and help give depth to the 2D gameplay. Sounds are appropriate, with realistic propeller effects and accurate-sounding crashes/explosions. There is no background music, but the game doesn’t feel as though it’s lacking, given its goal of pseudo-simulation rather than full-on arcade. The controls are outstanding. Most of the plane controls are handled through the accelerometer, tilting the device to change the plane’s attitude. A sharp shake of the device will cause a 180-degree flip. On-screen buttons control throttle, boost (necessary when making steep ascents), firing guns/rockets, and changing camera angles. The placement of the buttons leaves the interface feeling uncluttered, though all possible needs are at your quick disposal. Aera includes detailed tutorial explanations, as well as a walkthrough requiring you to complete certain tasks in order to move on.
[I:http://www.iphonedownloadsforyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/EricMeister3.png]
Tons of cool features are packed into Aera. If you hit an object, the “TimeBack” adjustment will reverse time for you. This is a nice opportunity to retry that same part of the course. No need to start back at the beginning of the level as this just sets you back a few seconds. This feature proved to be a god-send. Want to see how you did on a completed mission? Just watch the video replay that becomes available at that time. If you’re looking for online multiplayer, this comes in the form of local wi-fi only. Now you can play Dual or Capture the Flag against a friend. A Configuration menu grants the ability to change your craft sensitivity and toggle the Prediction line on or off. This virtual path shows where you’re headed at the current altitude and speed.
There may be other flight simulators, side scrollers, and arcade fliers available in the app store, but none that so nicely marries the three. Dog fighting is especially fun and the controls feel very intuitive. Solo can be a fun way to show off your skills while giving you a goal to achieve. It’s just a nice presentation all around. In fact, we can’t remember too many iPhone game reviews that we had so much fun writing. You can tell that a lot of work was put into making this game special. Replay value is high, as the fun, smooth gameplay alone will keep me coming back for more. There are also several Achievements to be earned during the course of gameplay. Unlocking crafts/locations and replaying previously unlocked areas will also increase the replay value. iChromo sends Aera flying into the app store with an attractive $0.99 price tag, a bargain for this terrific 4-star stunner.
